I had a fabulous time last Saturday at the Seattle Space Needle! Some family members took me there for a celebration for the publication of THE BOY WITH GOLDEN EYES. Included were some very special people...my nephew Michael, his wife Anne, their two children Sammy and Lucie, along with Anne's parents Bob & Carole.
It was truly a festive occasion, complete with champagne (though apple cider did for me) and constant fly-bys by the Blue Angels, who seemed to be buzzing the Space Needle! Anne claims she arranged for that, however, it was rather a lovely coincidence, due to the annual Seafair Festival. We toasted to the book's future success and good wishes were exchanged by all. Sammy was especially thrilled, since THE BOY WITH GOLDEN EYES was written for him, as well as inspired by him! That's him on the cover too, posing as the hero, Rupert. All in all, it was a lovely occasion, and only wish all my friends and family could have been there as well!

That celebration was so much fun! I doubt Anne really arranged for the blue angels to give us the show, but it still was wonderful. I really love the book! Now Margie is writing book three, and I sometimes give suggestions for what will happen next and I read the new chapters.
